Rifle to Open Season Against Georgia Southern

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel mixed rifle and women's team are set to open the fall schedule with a home match against West Virginia inside the Inouye Marksmanship Center on Oct. 5
 
The match will feature both the mixed rifle and women's team for the Bulldogs.

  • The Bulldogs finished second overall in the Southern Conference last season.
  • James Hart returns for his senior season as the top competitor for the Bulldogs.
  • Hart competed at the 2024 NCAA Rifle Championships last season after being named First-Team Smallbore and Second-Team Air Rifle.
  • Michaela Mix is expected to significantly contribute to the Bulldogs this season after being one of the top finishers in the 2024 season.
  • The Bulldogs roster features eight returners and four newcomers in Ella Derrick, Emire Fast-Clarke, Theron Hull-Walton, and Braden Michalak.

The Bulldogs will travel to Statesboro, Georgia, on Oct. 12 to compete against Georgia Southern in a Mixed rifle-only match.
