.CHARLESTON, SC - The Citadel men's tennis team won all three doubles matches before being swept in singles by the now 8-0 Gardner-Webb University Bulldogs on Friday afternoon to fall 1-6

- The Bulldogs won the doubles point for the fourth straight match, winning by identical 6-4 scores at 1 and 3-doubles.
- Teo Cariov dropped his first set in a tiebreaker, 6-7, before losing 2-6 in the second.
- Sebastian Kamieniecki was the only Citadel player to force a third set, answering with a 7-5 win in set two after being doubled up in the opening set. Playing at 3-singles for the third time this season, he was defeated 2-6 in the third.
- After Kamieniecki, Bradey Minnich won the most games, falling by identical 4-6, 4-6 scores at 6-singles.

"We played very tough in singles, but Gardner-Webb's ground games were a little too good for us," said Head Coach
Chuck Kriese. "Our team is growing fast, and I am very proud that after the heartbreaking loss on Wednesday, the team competed the way they did. The best is yet to come."
