Mid-Week Baseball
The Citadel will hit the road for their first mid-week game of the 2024 season against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers. The Bucs are 2-1 on the season by taking their series opener against Delaware State.

The Citadel and Charleston Southern meet for the first time for the 2024 season. The Bulldogs and the Bucs are scheduled for four games this season—two at Joe Riley and two at Nielsen Field.

Left-hander Fisher Paulsen will receive the ball on Tuesday against the Buccaneers.
 
Bulldogs Series Win
The Citadel took the series from St. Bonaventure this past weekend. The bats were on fire for the Bulldogs, with 56 runs scored during the weekend.  
 
Newcomers Shine for The Citadel
First basemen Anthony Hausner proved himself this past weekend by hitting .417 with two home runs, five hits, one double, and eight RBIs.
 
Javier Crespo started at the hot corner for The Citadel; he batted .364 with four hits and four RBIs.
 
Right-handed Pitcher Landon Slemp started Friday's game for the Bulldogs and went 6.0 innings pitched with two strikeouts and two hits, holding batters to a .111 average.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Citadel and Charleston Southern have met 101 times prior, with the Bulldogs holding a 63-38 advantage in the all-time series. The last time the two matched up, The Bucs came out with the 8-7 victory over the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will host the University of Akron for a three-game series at Joe Riley Park this weekend.
