- Javier Crespo got the Bulldogs on the board with a fielder's choice that scored Thomas Rollauer.
- Phillips Daniels hit a bases-clearing double that scored three more for the Bulldogs in the first inning to make it 4-0.
- The Citadel would follow up the first with another four spot with an RBI ground from Anthony Hausner and Crespo. Sawyer Reeves would score on a wild pitch, and Wells Sykes scored on a fielding error, which made it 8-0.
- The Buccaneers got on the board after a double-steal, in which the runner was thrown out at second and the runner at third scored.
- Travis Elliott scored on a wild pitch, starting a six-run third inning for The Citadel.
