PLAYERS OF NOTE
- For the Volunteers, Johannus Monday enters as the #7 ranked singles player in Division I tennis by the ITA, sporting a 12-2 record. The Englishman is 89-24 all-time in singles and should see Hayden Shoemake (5-5) at the top flight.
- Junior Shunsuke Mitsui is currently the #16 singles player in the nation and is 14-2 on the year playing at 2-singles for the Vols. Foreshadowing a possible showdown with Sebastian Kamieniecki or Teo Cariov (5-5).
- For the Gamecocks, Toby Samuel is the #71 ranked singles player. Don't let his 3-4 record fool you though as South Carolina has already played six Top 20 teams this season and a pair of #1 ranked teams in Virginia and Ohio State.
