Strong Offense and Defense Propels the Bulldogs to a Series Win

CHARLESTON, S.C. - A combination of strong offense and defense led The Citadel to a 6-3 victory over Harvard in the series finale on Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened
  • Garrett Fulmer hit a solo home run to left center in the bottom of the second inning, giving the Bulldogs an early lead
  • Thomas Rollauer hit an RBI triple to left field, scoring Sawyer Reeves and starting a late-game rally.
  • Anthony Hausner executed a squeeze bunt in the sixth inning to score Rollauer from third, extending the lead to 3-0.
  • Harvard got on the board with an RBI single through the left side.
  • A Sawyer Reeves solo home run to left field extended The Bulldogs' lead to 4-1
  • Fulmer scored two for The Citadel with an RBI single to shallow right field in the bottom of the eighth inning.
  • Harvard hit two home runs in the top of the ninth inning to make it 6-3.
