Rollauer Collects Three Hits Against Winthrop

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Thomas Rollauer recorded a three-hit day in a 4-3 loss against the Winthrop Eagles on Tuesday afternoon inside Joe Riley Park.

How It Happened
  • Winthrop scored the game's first run with a bases-loaded hit by a pitch in the top of first.
  • Harrison Wilson for the Eagles singled to center field for a two-run RBI single to make it 3-0 in the first.
  • The Citadel got into action in the bottom of the first with a Wells Sykes RBI single, which scored Thomas Rollauer.
  • Both teams were held scoreless until the sixth, with Winthrop scoring one with a bases-loaded walk.
  • Wells Sykes hit an RBI triple down the right-field line, scoring Rollauer to narrow the lead to 4-2 in the bottom of the eighth.
