Three-Hit Day For Sykes Against the Cougars

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – Wells Sykes collected three hits in a 10-7 loss against the College of Charleston on Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened
  • In the first, Thomas Rollauer scored the Bulldogs' run of the game with an RBI single up the middle, scoring Wells Sykes.
  • Cole Singsank gave the Cougars the lead with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first.
  • The Bulldogs scored three runs on three hits in the second inning, with Chase Loggins's single to left center scoring Aryan Patel.
  • Wells Sykes drove in Landon Kahl with an RBI single through the left side to give the Bulldogs the 3-2 lead.
  • Travis Elliott singled up the middle, scoring Sykes and extending the Bulldogs lead to 4-2 in the top of the second.
  • The College added three of their own runs in the bottom of the second to take the lead at 5-4.
  • The Cougars recorded five more runs to extend their lead to 10-4.
  • Aryan Patel knocked in two runs in the top of the ninth to narrow the lead to 10-6.
  • Landon Kahl drove in a run with an RBI ground out first, scoring Garrett Dill to make 10-7.
