CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel has scheduled an introductory press conference for new baseball head coach Russell Triplett for Monday, June 24 at the Pearson Club in Johnson Hagood Stadium (4th Floor), start time slated for 1:30 p.m. The complete event will be open to the public while a live stream via The Citadel Athletics YouTube Channel will broadcast the press conference as well.

Triplett, who The Citadel announced as the new baseball head coach Wednesday afternoon, joins the Bulldogs following 14 successful seasons at Newberry College, amassing an overall record of 418-278-1 during that stretch. A graduate of Clemson, he helped guide the Tigers to four postseason appearances as well as a visit to the College World Series throughout his four-year playing career from 2000-04.
