CHARLESTON, S.C. – Following a strong fall semester athletically across a variety of sports, The Citadel Athletics proudly celebrates another impressive term in the classroom as well, finishing with a 3.384 overall GPA as a department along with a slew of individual achievements, including: 56 cadet-athletes boasting 4.0s, 114 earning Gold Stars (3.7+) and 109 scoring recognition on the Dean's List (3.2+).

From a sport-specific perspective, every program at The Citadel save one concluded the six-month period with a team GPA 3.0 or better. Men's Tennis paced the department with a 3.736 mark while Women's Cross Country (3.628), Women's Golf (3.546), Women's Rifle (3.540), Baseball (3.526), Volleyball (3.520) and Women's Soccer (3.517) exceeded the 3.5 plateau; meanwhile, Women's Track & Field (3.491) held out above the 3.4 mark.

Individually, 251 of the department's 343 cadet- and student-athletes -- 73.2 percent -- posted GPAs of 3.0 or better with 56 notably notching perfect 4.0s for the term. Additionally, The Citadel congratulates the 10 Bulldogs who officially earned their degrees with a December graduation.
