Seay, Williamson Score as Bulldogs Fall at Furman, Turn Focus to SoCon Tournament

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team wrapped up the 2025 regular season Sunday afternoon, falling 6–2 at Furman.

The Bulldogs struck first late in the opening half as Charlotte Seay buried a 40-yard free kick in the 42nd minute for her second goal of the season. Furman answered with two quick goals early in the second half to move in front, but Alice Williamson responded with her team-leading sixth goal of the year in the 68th minute to draw the match even at 2–2.

Furman regained control down the stretch, adding four goals over the final 10 minutes to close out the match. Zoe Santos finished with five saves in goal for The Citadel across 90 minutes of action.

The Bulldogs now turn their attention to the postseason as the No. 9 seed in the 2025 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship. The Citadel will travel to face No. 8 Wofford in the first round Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in Spartanburg. The winner will advance to face top-seeded Samford in the quarterfinals later this week.
