CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's basketball team opened the 2025–26 season with a commanding 105–61 victory over Erskine on Monday night at McAlister Field House. The Bulldogs controlled the game with steady defense and efficient execution on both ends.
The Citadel came out firing, racing to a 13–0 start behind the playmaking of
Keynan Davis and the energy of
Sola Adebisi.
The Bulldogs knocked down 10 three-pointers in the opening half and forced nine Erskine turnovers to take a 47–21 lead into the break.
In the second half, The Citadel maintained control on both ends of the floor, adding 58 points while continuing to share the basketball. Adebisi delivered a standout performance with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists on a perfect 6-for-6 shooting night.
Cassius Bonjasky anchored the paint with 10 rebounds and 7 points.
As a team, the Bulldogs shot 45.6 percent (36-of-79) from the floor and 35.6 percent (21-of-59) from three-point range while outrebounding the Flying Fleet 50–26. The Citadel totaled 24 assists, 12 steals, and 32 points off turnovers, with 14 players entering the scoring column in the season-opening win.
Keynan Davis added 11 points and six assists, while
Logan Applegate and
Marcos Gonzales each contributed double-digit scoring off the bench.
Christian Moore and
Eze Wali also added nine points apiece to round out the balanced attack.
