Opening Weekend
The Citadel hosts UIC and Miami (OH) to open the 2025 baseball season. The Bulldogs play two games against UIC on Friday and Monday and then Miami (OH) on Saturday and Sunday.
Weekend Weather
The forecast for Friday indicates partly cloudy skies, with a high of 55 degrees and a low of 46 degrees at night. On Saturday, expect mostly cloudy skies with a high of 70 degrees and a low of 62 degrees. Sunday is expected to bring rain, followed by mostly sunny skies on Monday, with a high of 52 degrees.

Triplett at the Helm
Head Coach Russell Triplett will take the field for the first time as the Bulldogs skipper.

James Reeves enters his first season as the Bulldogs' pitching coach, and Phil Tobin will debut as an assistant coach.
Against UIC/Miami (OH)
This will be the first time in program history that The Citadel will play UIC and Miami (OH).
Scouting UIC/Miami (OH)
UIC finished the season 35-20 and 16-11 in conference play. The Flames recorded 66 home runs and 364 RBIs while hitting .290 as a team.
Miami (OH) finished their season 27-27 with a 17-13 conference record. The RedHawks recorded 61 home runs and 367 RBIs while hitting .282 as a team.
The Flames pitching staff posted a 6.48 ERA during the 2024 season with 387 strikeouts.
The RedHawks' pitching staff posted a 6.96 ERA during the 2024 season with 409 strikeouts.
