LAST TIME OUT
- The Citadel fell at home in The SoCon opener to Furman last Saturday, 0-7.
- The Citadel was swept in doubles although Noah Van Dyke / Reece Beckendorf battled the top Furman flight, falling 4-6.
- Ted Bagwell and Bradey Minnich won the most games in singles, seven each, with the former forcing an extra game (5-7) in his second set.
- Three freshmen, Nick Stroumpis, Beckendorf, and Anthony Osipov played at 4,5 and 6-singles respectively, all falling in straight sets.
NORTH CAROLINA'S SEASON SO FAR
- UNC is 4-3 this season and looking to bounce back from a 0-4 defeat at Georgia last Sunday.
- The Tar Heels have wins over James Madison, Charlotte, Campbell, and NC Central in 2025.
SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
- The 1-doubles flight will be a tough one as Carolina's top duo is 4-1 in addition to Schoen/Zapp sitting at #25 in the ITA rankings with a 9-3 record so far.
- They do have uncertainty at the 3-spot as they have used three different combinations and are just 2-2 overall the early going.
- Switching to singles play, Melnic is 4-1 at the second flight while Xu (#107) is 3-0 at 3-singles and Wright (#97) is 2-2 between the four and five flights.
