CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel fell to the Maine Black Bears 4-2 on Friday afternoon in game one of a three-game series inside Joe Riley Park.

How It Happened
- Maine scored the first run of the game in the third inning with a solo home run from Chris Bear.
- The Bulldogs answered back in the bottom of the third with an RBI single from Noah Cadiz, scoring TJ Anderson to even it at 1-1.
- Maine scored three runs in the top of the fifth from an RBI double and a two-run home run to put the Black Bears up three runs at 4-1.
- Matthew Lively scored on a wild pitch in the sixth inning to narrow the lead to 4-2, but the Black Bears pitching staff held it down to take game one at 4-2.
