Brody Fox led the Bulldogs with 20 points, his seventh 20+ point game of the season. Christian Moore hit four threes on his way to 15 points, his fourth 15+ point performance in the last six games.

Freshman Eze Wali earned his first collegiate start, playing 28 minutes while playing strong on ball defense and turning it over just once as the Bulldogs' primary ball handler.

How It Happened
  • A 5-0 spurt by UNCG gave it a 20-15 edge at the under-8 timeout.
  • The Bulldogs countered at the break with an 8-0 run, thanks to a pair of triples by Moore to give The Citadel a 23-20 lead.
  • A Paxton Davidson pull-up jumper with 32 seconds left tied the game at 32-32, but the Spartans answered with one of their own on the ensuing possession to lead 34-32 at the intermission.
  • UNCG started the second half on a 7-0 run before Moore's fourth 3-ball of the game cut the deficit to six, 41-35.
  • Fox knocked down two from the charity stripe to hold the deficit at five, 50-45, with 8:46 remaining
  • The Spartans hit a pair of tightly contested 3-pointers to extend the margin to double digits, 59-48
