Bulldogs Fall in Midweek to Charleston Southern

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel fell 13-3 to Charleston Southern in their midweek game on Wednesday night inside Joe Riley Park.

How It Happened
  • Charleston Southern scored two runs in the first from a two-RBI single up the middle to go up 2-0.
  • Thomas Rollauer got the Bulldogs on the board with a fielding error committed by the Buccaneers to make it 2-1 in the bottom of the first.
  • The Buccaneers scored three runs in the top of the second to increase their lead to 5-1.
  • Charleston Southern added to their lead in the fourth inning with an RBI double down the line and an RBI single through the right side to make it 7-1.
  • Aryan Patel drove in two runners on a fielding error committed by Charleston Southern. Patel earned one RBI, making it 7-3.
  • Charleston Southern scored five in the sixth and one in the eighth to end the game in the eighth inning at 13-3.
