CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel men's tennis team lost to SoCon foe Chattanooga in the morning on Saturday before dropping a 2-5 affair to Nebraska Omaha in the evening.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORES
- Ted Bagwell / Diego Ladino were the lone bright spot in the first match, winning 6-4 at 2-doubles.
- After being swept in doubles by UNO, Stroumpis won by a walkover in 6-singles, but the Mavericks won four of the other singles matches to clinch the match.
- Reece Beckendorf was the star of match two for the Bulldogs, winning 6-3, 6-1 to earn his first win at 3-singles this year, improving to 1-1.
COACHES CORNER
- "Disappointing results today but give credit to Chattanooga and UNO," said Head Coach Chuck Kriese.
- He continued, "There were some bright spots as Reece stepped up at 3-singles. He's continuing to grow each and every day."
- In closing: "I know this group will continue to compete. Recognition week next week will be good for them to get a couple of days of rest as we hope for a good run down the homestretch."

- The Citadel will enjoy over a week off before returning to Earle Tennis Center for a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 26 with Division II Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) and Delaware.
