CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel (11-11) is set to open up conference play with a three-game series against the Mercer Bears (15-7). The first pitch for Friday is set for 6 p.m., then Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Series History vs. Mercer
The Citadel and Mercer will meet for the 49th time on the diamond. The Bears hold the all-time series record at 30-18. The Citadel took the series last season against Mercer.
 
Scouting Mercer
The Bears are 15-7 on the season heading into the first weekend of conference play. Mercer upset No. 5 Florida State on Tuesday, 9-3. Mercer is hitting .283 as a team with 205 hits, 47 doubles, three triples, 30 home runs, and 142 RBIs.
