Bulldogs Drop Midweek to the Gamecocks

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel dropped their midweek match up against South Carolina, 9-1, inside Joe Riley Park on Wednesday night.

How It Happened
  • South Carolina scored two in the first inning from a two-run home run from Ethan Petry.
  • Evan Stone gave the Gamecocks a three-run lead in the third with a home run to make it 3-0.
  • The Bulldogs got on the board from a SAC-fly RBI from TJ Anderson in the bottom of the third, scoring Noah Cadiz to make it 3-1.
  • The Gamecocks added two more in the fourth inning to make it 5-1.
  • South Carolina extended their lead to 9-1 by scoring three runs in the eighth and one in the ninth.
