CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel pitching staff allowed one earned run over nine innings in a 3-1 win over the Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Tuesday night.

How It Happened

Travis Elliott scored the first run of the game for the Bulldogs with a safety squeeze, bringing in Aryan Patel from third to make it 1-0 in the third inning.
The Buccaneers tied the game at 1-1 at the top of the fourth inning with a solo home run from Kaden Smith.
The Bulldogs regained the lead at 2-1 after a balk by Charleston Southern, scoring Lane Tobin in the bottom of the fourth.
Thomas Rollauer added an insurance run for The Citadel with an RBI single up the middle, scoring Anthony Hauser and extending the lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Maddox Webb held the Buccaneers scoreless during the eighth and ninth innings, securing a 3-1 victory for the Bulldogs.
