Bulldogs Fall to the Catamounts

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Citadel dropped a 15-2 game against Western Carolina on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
  • The Bulldogs scored the first run of the game on a double steal by Phillips Daniels. He stole second and then stole home during a rundown, making the score 1-0.
  • The Catamounts scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 4-1 lead over the Bulldogs, from two RBI doubles, another RBI double, and an RBI ground out.
  • Western Carolina jumped to a 5-1 run lead with a solo home run from Cole Jones.
  • Garrett Dill narrowed the Catamounts' lead to three runs with an RBI single up the middle in the fourth inning, scoring Thomas Rollauer, making it 5-2.
  • Western Carolina added two runs in the fourth inning with two RBI singles.
  •  The Catamounts opened up the game by scoring five runs in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth, increasing their lead to 15-2.
