How It Happened

Travis Elliott began the game for The Citadel with a three-run home run to left field, scoring TJ Anderson and Phillips Daniels, which gave the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead in the first inning.
Charleston Southern returned the favor in the bottom of the first with a three-run home run to tie the game at 3-3.
Garrett Fulmer hit a two-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Bulldogs up 5-3.
The Buccaneers narrowed The Citadel's lead to 5-4 with an RBI double to left center in the third inning.
The Bulldogs' lead increased to five runs in the fourth inning with another home run from Travis Elliott, driving in two runs, and a two-run RBI single from Garrett Fulmer, making it 9-5.
