Baseball Welcomes ETSU for Final SoCon Series

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel (28-23, 10-8) welcomes the ETSU Buccaneers (37-13, 13-5) to Joe Riley Park for a three-game series from May 15 to 17. The first pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 1 pm, Friday at 1 pm, and Saturday at 1 pm.

The weather for Thursday indicates partly cloudy skies, a high of 87, and a low of 71, with winds from the SW at 10 to 20 mph. For Friday, the forecast calls for a high of 91 and a low of 73, with winds from the WSW at 10 to 15 mph. Saturday is expected to have a high of 90 and a low of 71, with WSW winds at 10 to 20 mph and cloudy skies.

The Bulldogs and the Buccaneers have met 111 times on the diamond, with the Bulldogs holding the record over the ETSU at 65-46. ETSU swept The Citadel last season in Johnson City.

Elliott With Two Blasts
Travis Elliott hit a pair of home runs in the victory over Charleston Southern. He ended the day 3-for-5, with two home runs and seven RBIs. He joins Lane Tobin and Matthew Lively as the only players to hit two home runs this season.

Patel's Four-Hit Day
Aryan Patel went 4-for-5 in the final midweek game of the season, marking his second four-hit game.
 
Terror on the Base Path
The Citadel stole a season-high nine bases, four of which were by Thomas Rollauer. The last time the Bulldogs stole nine bases was against Presbyterian in 2011, tying for the 5th most in a game. Rollauer's four stolen bases are the most in a game since 1997, when Terrence Smalls stole four against Charleston Southern.
 
On Deck
The Citadel will travel to Greenville, South Carolina, from May 21 to 25 to participate in the 2025 Southern Conference Baseball Championship.
