GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Citadel lost to the Mercer Bears, 4-2, in the 2025 Southern Conference Baseball Championships elimination game on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

Mercer scored three runs in the top of the third inning with a two-run home run by Ty Dalley and an RBI double from Bradley Frye, bringing the score to 3-0.
Thomas Rollauer put the Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI single up the middle, bringing in Travis Elliott.
Lane Tobin drove in the second run of the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly RBI, scoring Anthony Hausner and making it a one-run game at 3-2.
Mercer added a late run in the top of the ninth inning from Titan Kamaka on an RBI single to make it 4-3.
The Bulldogs had a chance in the bottom of the ninth inning with runners on first and second, but they couldn't bring them home, ending the game at 4-2.
