GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Citadel lost to the Mercer Bears, 4-2, in the 2025 Southern Conference Baseball Championships elimination game on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
- Mercer scored three runs in the top of the third inning with a two-run home run by Ty Dalley and an RBI double from Bradley Frye, bringing the score to 3-0.
- Thomas Rollauer put the Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI single up the middle, bringing in Travis Elliott.
- Lane Tobin drove in the second run of the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly RBI, scoring Anthony Hausner and making it a one-run game at 3-2.
- Mercer added a late run in the top of the ninth inning from Titan Kamaka on an RBI single to make it 4-3.
- The Bulldogs had a chance in the bottom of the ninth inning with runners on first and second, but they couldn't bring them home, ending the game at 4-2.
