CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel welcomed the addition of 44 cadet-athletes to the Long Gray Line late Saturday morning, each graduating as members of one of the 16 NCAA Division I programs sponsored by the college.
Overall, two cadet-athletes managed Summa Cum Laude honors -- Briggs Rehome (T&F) and Cole Alexander (MBB) -- while four garnered Magna Cum Laude recognition -- George Derrick Floyd (BSB), Sutter Guttery (T&F / XC), Cam Glover (MBB) and Grace Laws (WSOC) -- with eight locking in Cum Laude distinction -- Tyler Christmas (BSB), Fisher Paulsen (BSB), CJ Van Slooten (BSB), Ali Ruffin (VB), Micah DiCarlo (WREST), Aidan Lenz (WREST), Thomas Termini (WREST) and Javonte Graves-Billips (FB).
Sport-to-sport, football and track & field led the way with a total 10 graduates apiece with baseball and women's soccer trailing not far behind with six each as well. Wrestling totaled five graduates while volleyball, men's basketball and cross country tallied four apiece. Men's tennis rounded out the honor roll with one graduate.
