Anthony Hausner secured the win for the Bulldogs after pitching five innings, recording two strikeouts, and allowing two earned runs. Hausner also went 1-for-3 with an RBI at the plate.

It is the first time sweeping a home-and-away series from Winthrop since 2014.
 
Small Ball
The Bulldogs remain among the country's leaders in sacrifice bunts; The Citadel ranks fourth in the NCAA with 52 sacrifice bunts. Travis Elliott is third individually with 13 and is tied for sixth in the Bulldogs' record book for an individual season.
 
Shutting the Door
The Bulldogs have recorded 17 saves this season, the most in the SoCon and the most since 2006, when The Citadel had 19. Anthony Hausner (6) and Maddox Webb (5) have played significant roles in the bullpen's success in save situations.
