ATHENS, Ga. – The Citadel men's tennis team faced nationally ranked Georgia on Sunday at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Facility, falling 7–0 and 4–0 to the No. 39 Bulldogs in a pair of dual matches.

Georgia claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. In singles play, Georgia recorded straight-set victories at all six flights to secure the 7–0 result.

In the second match, Georgia earned the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. The Citadel secured a doubles victory at the No. 2 position, where

Ted Bagwell defeated Derrick Chen and Noah Johnston, 6–2.
Georgia clinched the match in singles play, earning victories at the No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 positions to secure the 4–0 decision. Matches at the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 6 flights were unfinished.
The Citadel heads to Auburn, Ala., on Saturday, Feb. 21, for two matches. The Bulldogs will face Marion Military Institute at 10 a.m. before taking on Auburn at 5 p.m.
