CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel mixed rifle team scored 4,609, while the women's team posted 2,325 on Saturday against Navy (4,745) and Georgia Southern (4,741). The Bulldogs lost to Navy on Sunday, with the mixed rifle team scoring 4,626 and the women's team recording 2,323 compared to Navy's 4,733.
On Saturday, the mixed rifle team scored 2,268 in the Smallbore and 2,341 in the Air Rifle.
Braden Michalak finished ninth overall with a total score of 1,175, including 582 in the Smallbore and 593 in the Air Rifle.
The women's team scored 1,145 in the Smallbore and 1,180 in the Air Rifle. Megan Mix was the top performer for the women's team in the Smallbore with a score of 568, while
Ella Derrick shot a 591 in the Air Rifle to lead the team.
On Sunday, the mixed rifle team scored 2,274 in the Smallbore and 2,352 in the Air Rifle. Michalak finished fourth overall with a score of 1,169, shooting 576 in the Smallbore and 593 in the Air Rifle.
The women's team scored 1,145 in the Smallbore and 1,178 in the Air Rifle. Derrick and Mix finished seventh and tenth overall, with Derrick shooting 577 in the Smallbore and 588 in the Air Rifle. Mix shot 568 in the Smallbore and 590 in the Air Rifle.
