CHARLESTON, S.C. – Braden Michalak finished as the top performer with 1,171 points, while The Citadel's mixed rifle team scored 4,602 to take second place behind North Georgia, which scored 4,663. Wofford placed third with 4,570 points.
Emrie Fast-Clarke finished fifth, and
Ella Derrick was eighth.
The Citadel's mixed rifle team tallied a score of 2,261 in the Smallbore and 2,341 in the Air Rifle.
Michalak scored 578 in the Smallbore to finish third overall and shot a 593 in the Air Rifle to place second overall, leading as the top individual.
Emrie Fast-Clarke finished fifth with a score of 1,161, shooting a 568 in Smallbore and a 593 in Air Rifle, tying Michalak for third.
Ella Derrick earned an eighth-place finish with a total score of 1,148, shooting a 567 in Smallbore and 581 in the Air Rifle.
"We had a strong finish as a team this weekend. NCAA Qualifiers is always a high pressure match, and we had a few that were close to qualifying which is exciting," said head coach
Claire O'Neel. "As we head into off-season we've got some things we need to work on, but the team is excited to get back to work and start preparing for next year."
