CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Just a week removed from a key doubleheader sweep over visiting Bellarmine and Davidson, The Citadel wrestling program aims to conclude the 2025-26 campaign on a major high note with a Senior Day dual against league rival VMI, hosting the Keydets with an opportunity to clinch the Bulldogs' first Southern Conference regular-season title since 2004 on Sunday, Feb. 22 at McAlister Field House, start time slated for 2 pm ET.

The Citadel enters the weekend deadlocked with fellow SoCon powerhouses Appalachian State and Chattanooga, each sporting a 6-1 record following solo losses to one of the other two (The Citadel def. Chattanooga; Appalachian State def. The Citadel; Chattanooga def. Appalachian State). As such, a victory for the Bulldogs on Sunday guarantees at least a share of the regular-season championship, a feat beyond the reach of the program for just over two decades.
