BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. -- Following a dramatic victory over preseason favorite Chattanooga this past weekend, The Citadel wrestling program aims to maintain the team's perfect record within Southern Conference competition as the Bulldogs turn their attention to the final two road duals on the year, initially squaring off against Gardner-Webb on Friday, Feb. 6 in Paul Porter Arena, start time slated for 6 pm ET, before challenging league stalwart Appalachian State on Sunday, Feb. 8 in Varsity Gym, start time set for 2 pm ET.

The midweights remain a strength for The Citadel with back-to-back-to-back ranked wrestlers starting at 149 lbs -- Carson DesRosier, the hero of the Mocs win on Saturday -- followed by Kyrel Leavell (157 lbs) and the squad's big gun in Thomas Snipes (165 lbs). Additionally, Gylon Sims, the defending SoCon champion at 125 lbs, has improved back to his usual form since the launch of the new year while Brodie Porter has proved competitive at 184 lbs as of late, notably notching his first ranked victory at Chattanooga.
