CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel (3-16) fell to Richmond (4-6), 7-0, Wednesday morning at the Earle Tennis Center.

Richmond claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Sam Rathmanner and Paxton Pritchard defeated
Noah Van Dyke and
Tucker Hendrix, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles while Otto Sewell and Charlie Burdell earned a 6-0 victory against
Nick Stroumpis and
Anthony Osipov at No. 3.
In singles play, Richmond secured victories at all six positions. Davis Wiley defeated Van Dyke 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Charlie Burdell topped
Brady Gober 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 at No. 2, and Paxton Pritchard earned a 6-1, 6-4 win against
Ted Bagwell at No. 3. Otto Sewell defeated Stroumpis 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4, Cole Brashear posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory over
Graham Hardin at No. 5, and Nathan Germino secured a 6-3, 6-2 win against
Anthony Osipov at No. 6.
"Credit to Richmond today. They jumped on us early and maintained the momentum throughout the match," head coach
Chuck Kriese said after the match. "Our guys continued to compete, but Richmond had answers across the lineup. They are a very good team and well coached."
