CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel (10-13, 1-2 SoCon) hosts the program's first three-game home conference series of the season against Western Carolina (17-9, 2-1 SoCon) on March 27-29 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET, followed by Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

The SoCon weekend series against The Citadel and Western Carolina will be broadcast on ESPN+. Dave Weinstein and Chris Lemonis will call the games on Friday, while Dave Weinstein and Travis Lott will call the games on Saturday and Sunday.

Brian Giffin, the voice of The Citadel Bulldogs, will call the weekend games on 102.1 FM and 1450 AM.
 
Series History vs. Western Carolina
The Bulldogs and the Catamounts have played 167 times on the field, with Western Carolina leading the all-time series at 100-67. The Catamounts won the series last season in Cullowhee, N.C., while the Bulldogs defeated WCU in the 2025 SoCon Tournament.
 
Scouting Western Carolina
The Catamounts are 17-9 overall and 2-1 in the SoCon. Western Carolina won the series against Samford last weekend via a 2-1 margin and lost a midweek game to UNC Asheville on March 24. The Catamounts are batting .268 as a team, with 168 runs, 225 hits, 48 doubles, one triple, 29 home runs, and 154 RBIs.
 
Jackson Lyda leads the team with a .337 batting average, Trent Turner has six home runs, and Wyatt Stanley has 21 RBIs.

Midweek Dub over PC
Powered by a balanced attack with 11 hits and a season-best 16 strikeouts, The Citadel defeated Presbyterian 9-4 on Wednesday, March 25. Christian Stratis and Michael Gibson both posted season-best performances, including a pair of multi-base hits for the former while the latter added three hits to his season-best tally.
 
The Bulldogs used six pitchers against the Blue Hose, notably striking out a season-high 16 at the plate en route to tying the best-ever mark under second-year head coach Russell Triplett after last year's 16-strikeout game at Samford on April 11.

The Bulldogs host Coastal Carolina for a midweek game on Tuesday, March 31 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, with the first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
