DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Citadel track and field teams opened competition Friday at the Davidson Relays, highlighted by a runner-up finish in the hammer throw and multiple scoring performances in field events.
Results
Ridge Dowe led the Bulldogs with an 8-point performance, placing second in the hammer throw with a mark of 53.56 meters.
"We had a solid start to the weekend," head coach
Kris Kut said. "Ridge competed well in the hammer, and we saw some good efforts across the board that we can build on heading into tomorrow."
Men's Highlights – Day 1
- Ridge Dowe placed second in the hammer throw (53.56m), scoring eight points.
- Dylan Horne finished sixth in the discus (44.20m), adding three points.
- Frank Pastorino placed ninth in the hammer throw (45.36m).
- Pastorino also competed in the discus (37.38m).
- Myer Daniels recorded a throw of 33.50m in the discus.
- Ryder Harbough ran 4:35.74 in the mile.
