CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Citadel (5-5) cruised to a decisive 7-1 victory over Georgia Southern (2-10) on Wednesday evening at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.
Miles Barbrey notched a season-high two hits, including a triple and an RBI, while also swiping a base.
TJ Anderson made his mark with a three-run homer in the third frame.
Zach Hunt bolstered the offense with two hits, including a double, and drove in a pair of runs.
Riley Ballard earned the win for the Bulldogs, tossing two innings of scoreless start, allowing just two hits and striking out one.
Ben Brash came in after, pitching 2.1 innings, surrendering four hits, one earned run, and recording three strikeouts.
Andrew Buffkin added 1.2 hitless innings with two strikeouts.
Trip Brown and
Steven Trone each pitched an inning of scoreless relief, with Trone striking out two batters.
Michael Gibson finished the game with a perfect inning, striking out two of three batters faced.
