CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Ted Bagwell recorded a singles victory as The Citadel (2-14, 0-3 SoCon) faltered against Chattanooga (5-6, 1-0 SoCon), 6-1, Saturday morning at the UTC Tennis Center.

Chattanooga claimed the doubles point with wins at all three positions. Julian Franzmann and Kristof Kincses defeated
Ted Bagwell and
Brady Gober 7-6 (7-5) at No. 1 doubles. Jaxon Lamb and Carter Ramthun posted a 6-3 win over
Tucker Hendrix and
Noah Van Dyke at No. 2, and Sebastian Johnson and Jakub Jupa earned a 7-6 (8-6) victory against
Reece Beckendorf and
Anthony Osipov at No. 3.
In singles play, Bagwell secured The Citadel's lone point with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Kristof Kincses at the No. 4 position.
Jakub Jupa defeated
Noah Van Dyke 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Julian Franzmann topped
Brady Gober 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2. Martin Delnido posted a 6-1, 6-0 win against Nicholas Stroumpis at No. 3. TJ Ryerson defeated
Reece Beckendorf 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 and Jaxon Lamb earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory over
Graham Hardin at No. 6.
