CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel (19-21, 4-8 SoCon) is set to host Southern Conference opponent UNCG (15-26, 2-10 SoCon) for a three-game home series on April 24-26. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

The Bulldogs and the Spartans have met 89 times on the diamond, with the Spartans leading the all-time series 49-40. The Citadel took the series at UNCG last season, with the Bulldogs winning Friday and Saturday by 8-7 margins.

The Spartans are 15-26 overall and 2-10 in SoCon play. UNCG enters the weekend on a six-game losing streak, with its most recent loss coming against Wake Forest, 14-3. Bulldogs Take the Season Series Against Georgia Southern
The Citadel defeated Georgia Southern behind a 10-3 mark on Wednesday, April 22, tallying 14 hits. Previously, the Bulldogs topped Georgia Southern 7-1 on March 4 at The Joe.

Hunt and Gibby Go Yard
Zach Hunt hit his team-leading eighth home run of the season against Georgia Southern, and Michael Gibson notched his third home run of the season as well against the Eagles. The Citadel is currently 13-1 when the Bulldogs hit a home run.
 
Recent Midweek Success
The Citadel is on a four-game winning streak in midweek games. The Bulldogs have scored 49 total runs across those four games, starting back to their April 7 game against Charleston Southern running through Wednesday's victory over Georgia Southern. In those four games, the Bulldogs are hitting .358 as a team, with 48 hits, nine doubles, one triple, 10 home runs, and 45 RBIs.
 
50th Bulldog Win for Skip
Head coach Russell Triplett notched his 50th win as The Citadel's skipper against Georgia Southern. Triplett trails former head coach and Hall of Famer Fred Jordan, who compiled a program record 67 wins during his first two seasons running the club during the 1992 and 1993 campaigns. 
 
Honoring the Past
The Citadel will honor the 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002 championship teams during pregame on Saturday, April 25 vs. UNCG.
