ETSU claimed the doubles point with wins at all three positions. Bagwell and Brady Gober played at No. 1 doubles while Noah Van Dyke and Tucker Hendrix competed at No. 2 and Reece Beckendorf and Anthony Osipov teamed up at No. 3.

The Bulldogs responded with a stronger effort in singles play. Van Dyke dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision at No. 1, and Gober battled in a 7-5, 6-4 match at No. 2. Bagwell earned The Citadel's point at No. 3, rallying for a 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 victory in his final match on his home court.

Nick Stroumpis competed at No. 4, Beckendorf played at No. 5 and Samuel Hardin rounded out the lineup at No. 6 as ETSU secured the 6-1 result.

"I was pleased with the way the guys fought back in singles," head coach Chuck Kriese said. "It was great to see Ted Bagwell win the last match on the court as a senior in his final home match. The other guys battled hard as well. We will see ETSU again next week at the conference tournament, and we look forward to competing with them in the Southern Conference Championships."

Before first serve, The Citadel recognized seniors Joseph Combs, Bagwell, Hendrix and Van Dyke in a prematch Senior Day ceremony.

The Bulldogs continue Southern Conference play on Saturday, April 11, with a trip to Macon, Ga., for a 1 p.m. ET match at Mercer.
