CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel (1-2) hosts the Lowcountry Volleyball Championship at McAlister Field House on Sept. 3-5, facing fellow regional teams including College of Charleston (1-2), Charleston Southern (2-1), and South Carolina State (1-2).

About the Bulldogs

The Citadel went 1-2 at the Seahawk Classic, earning a 3-0 win over Le Moyne while falling to Kennesaw State and host UNCW.

Head coach Dave Zelenock earned his 100th career victory at The Citadel over Le Moyne.

Rachel Reininger was named to the Seahawk Classic All-Tournament Team.

The Citadel out-killed opponents, 111-106, at the Seahawk Classic.

Greta Pleuss has dished out 91 assists, averaging 9.10 assists per set.

Food Drive
The Citadel will partner with the Lowcountry Food Bank during the Lowcountry Volleyball Championship, Sept. 3-5, to help support the fight against hunger in the Charleston community. Fans are encouraged to bring five canned food items to McAlister Field House each day of the tournament to support the food drive.

All three of The Citadel's matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Balanced at The Net
Elizabeth Miller and Luci Lippelgoos have each recorded seven total blocks to lead The Citadel through three matches.

Pleuss Picks Up the Pace
Greta Pleuss is averaging 9.10 assists per set through the first three matches, up from 6.86 assists per set in 2025. She has 91 assists in 10 sets.

Digging Advantage
The Citadel has also edged its opponents in digs, 119-116, through the opening weekend.

Scouting College of Charleston
The Cougars went 1-2 over the opening weekend, with a win over Memphis and losses to Vanderbilt and Lipscomb. Offensively, Caroline Noonan, a 6-2 middle blocker from Charlotte, N.C., leads the team with 29 kills and 14.0 total blocks. Helena Vukovic, a 6-0 setter from Uzice, Serbia, paces the Cougar offense with 87 assists, averaging 7.91 per set.

Scouting Charleston Southern
The Buccaneers are 2-1 after the opening weekend, notching wins over Western Carolina and Butler and a four-set loss to Clemson. Offensively, Faith Burch, a 5-10 opposite from Indianapolis, Ind., leads the team with 49 kills, averaging 3.50 per set. Tristin Sutton, a 5-10 setter from Chattanooga, Tenn., leads the offense with 97 assists, averaging 6.93 per set. Defensively, Brynn Minter, a 6-0 outside hitter from Seal Beach, Calif., leads the team with 77 digs.

Scouting South Carolina St.
The Bulldogs are 1-2 overall with a win over Mississippi Valley State and losses against Alabama A&M and the University of Arkansas – Pine Bluff. Offensively, Ki'ra Wright, a 5-8 L/DS from Orangeburg, S.C., leads the team with 29 kills. Macey McCoy, a 5-8 setter from Vancouver, Wash., paces the Bulldogs' offense with 74 assists.
