Bulldogs Set for Inaugural LinkU Invitational at Credit One Stadium

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's basketball team will take part in a unique event this weekend as the Bulldogs compete in the inaugural LinkU Invitational at Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island.
The Bulldogs will face crosstown rival College of Charleston on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. as part of a three-game basketball showcase played on center court at Credit One Stadium. The contest will air live on ESPN+.
Sunday's action begins at noon with Virginia taking on Vanderbilt. The Citadel and College of Charleston will follow at 2 p.m., before the College of Charleston women's basketball team faces South Carolina at 4 p.m.
The LinkU Invitational will provide fans with more than Sunday's game action, with events scheduled throughout the weekend that give supporters opportunities to interact with coaches, student-athletes and the participating programs.
Friday evening will feature a Chalk Talk event at The Charleston Place, with coaches and student-athletes from each participating program taking part. Head coach Ed Conroy and members of the Bulldogs will represent The Citadel during the event.
Saturday will feature open practices at Credit One Stadium for VIP ticket holders before comedian Nate Bargatze takes the stage at the venue that evening for a night of comedy.
