SENIOR (2016): Appeared in 55 games … notched first double and run scored of the season against Virginia Tech on February 19 … scored four runs at Elon on March 11 … hit his first career triple in 7-2 win over Presbyterian on March 20 … hit two home runs at VMI on March 25 while scoring two runs and tallying three RBI off of three hits … had a two-for-three effort at the plate against UNCG on April 8 … went four-for-five with two triples and two singles against UNCG on April 9 … was three-for-three when stepping to the plate with two outs against the Spartans and is the first Bulldog to record two triples in the same game since 2010 … had three of the seven RBI for the Dogs and half of The Citadel’s eight hits on April 9 … tallied a hit and an RBI against UNCG on April 10 to cap off the three-game homestand with a hit in every game … turned in two-for-three effort with one double against Western Carolina on April 22 … collected at least one hit in every game of the series against Furman … tallied two hits and two runs scored with three RBI in 9-8 win at Mercer May 8 … went two-for-three with one run and one RBI at ETSU on May 19 … tallied three hits and scored the game-winning run after reaching base on a two-out single against VMI on May 24 in the SoCon Tournament … finished the season on a four-game hit streak … led the team with 54 hits, 29 runs and 82 total bases … tied for first on the team with 14 multiple-hit games … recorded five multiple-RBI games … concluded career with 94 games played, 71 hits, 38 runs scored, and 32 RBI.

JUNIOR (2015): Played in 39 games and finished the season with a .227 batting average and .347 slugging percentage … tallied 17 hits including three doubles and two home runs … completed the campaign with nine runs scored and nine RBI … went two-for-four with two runs scored and an RBI at UNCG on April 18 … tallied a season-high three RBI at Samford on May 2 … had a five-game hitting streak from April 8 to April 18. 

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Forest Hills High School … member of the basketball team in addition to baseball … attended Brunswick Community College before coming to The Citadel … played on team that reached the National Junior College Athletic Association World Series in 2013.

PERSONAL: Michael Antwan Deese ... born Dec. 3, 1992 ... son of Michael and Belinda Deese … majoring in criminal justice.
