JUNIOR (2017): Made 11 appearances as a junior and was among the team leaders, holding opponents to a .242 average and a 4.15 ERA…Worked only 8.2 innings, but had 10 scoreless appearances and faced the minimum number of batters in six app…Struck out six in 2.2 innings of work in a win over Dartmouth (3/16)…Retired the only batter he faced three separate times…Averaged over a strikeout (9) per inning.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2016): Appeared in 24 contests, compiling 1-1 record on the bump … pitched 0.1 inning in first appearance of season against Virginia Tech on February 21 … worked 2.1 innings in relief against Clemson on March 16 … forced two fly outs and a groundout in the bottom of the seventh at Wofford on April 17 to preserve the Bulldogs’ lead … tossed scoreless and hitless frame against Western Carolina on April 23 … shut out Mercer in 1.0 inning of work, fanning two … did not surrender a hit or run and struck out two at No. 10 South Carolina on May 17 … worked a scoreless frame and tallied one K against Mercer in the SoCon Tournament … finished the season with 24.1 innings pitched and 14 Ks … held opposing batters to .253 batting average.\

FRESHMAN (2015): Redshirted season. 

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of St. Joseph’s Catholic High School … named to all-region team all four seasons and was selected to the all-state squad his final three prep campaigns … chosen as the sixth-best right-hander in South Carolina by Diamond Prospects following his senior year … helped lead team to Class A state championship in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

PERSONAL: Ryan Alan Stamler ... born June 19, 1996 ... son of Alan and Claire Stamler … father played baseball at Montclair State … majoring in biology.
