Biography

2020: Started all 16 games…hit .266 with three doubles, one triple, one home run and team-best 14 RBIs…hit safely in 12 games…went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored in series finale against Coppin State…went 2-for-3 with a triple, home run in four RBIs in the middle game against Saint Peter’s…drove in six runs in the three-game series…doubled in back-to-back games against Hartford…delivered RBI single against South Carolina…also made six appearances on the mound…went 0-1 with a 2.61 ERA…tossed three shutout innings, striking out four, in season debut against Coppin State…did not allow a hit over two shutout innings against Hartford.

2019: Two-way player who made 30 appearances in the field and 10 appearances on the mound...hit .218 with six doubles, one triple, two home runs and 12 RBIs...collected first career hit with a RBI double at Winthrop...went 2-for-5 with a double, triple and RBI in the middle game against UNCG...followed it up by going 3-for-3 with two home runs, double and three RBIs in the series finale...hit safely in each of the first six games in May...drove in two runs in middle game at Western Carolina...went 0-2 with a 3.18 ERA and one save on the mound...made debut on the mound in series finale against Mercer, allowing one hit in a scoreless inning...did not allow a run in first five career appearances, and didn’t surrender an earned run in eight of 10 appearances...allowed an unearned run on one hit over 2.0 innings to earn the save against Western Carolina...tossed a scoreless inning against WCU in the SoCon Tourney.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Johnnie Rhoden at Port St. Lucie High School…two-time first-team all-area selection…named TC Palm Academic Player of the Year after hitting .350 and going 6-2 with a 1.10 ERA…fanned 70 over 65 innings…hit .380 with a pair of home runs, and went 5-2 with a 1.80 ERA as a junior…hit .350 as a sophomore and .330 as a freshman…also a four-year letterwinner on the golf team…graduated in the top 20-percent of his class.
 
PERSONAL:  Son of Brad and Cynthia Goddman…cousin, James Marinan, plays in the Cincinnati Reds farm system…plans to major in business administration.
