2022: Appeared in 13 games out of the bullpen…struck out six over 10.2 innings…made season debut against Fairleigh Dickinson…pitched one-third of an inning at Creighton…did not allow an earned run, and struck out two, over season-high 2.0 innings at North Florida…allowed one hit in two-thirds of an inning against Samford.

2021: Appeared in 15 games out of the bullpen…went 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA…struck out 11 in 14.0 innings…made season debut against Longwood…fanned a pair in 1.2 innings against North Florida…retired all three hitters faced against Davidson…allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning against South Carolina…surrendered just one earned run over final eight appearances.

2020: Made five starts…hit .125 with four RBIs and a run scored…also drew four walks…drove in a pair of runs in first start against Coppin State…singled and drove in a run in games against Yale and Saint Peter’s.

2019: Appeared in 39 games, making 35 starts behind the plate...hit .146 with five doubles, four RBIs and six runs scored...drew 13 walks...threw out 15 potential base stealers...went 2-for-3 with a RBI in first career start against Michigan...collected a pair of hits in the series opener against Furman and the middle game against Wofford...both hits against Wofford were doubles...delivered RBI double in middle game against Western Carolina.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach David McCabe at Bishop England High School…four-time All-Region 7 AAA selection…helped the Battling Bishops to back-to-back state championships as a junior and senior…gold glove recipient as a senior after no committing an error…team finished lower state runner-up as a freshman and sophomore…two-time letterwinner in football…recorded 96 tackles as a senior.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Allen ad Lee Bastian…grandfather played baseball at Clemson, while uncle played at Francis Marion and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates…brother, Drew, is a 2015 graduate of The Citadel…plans to major in business.
