Biography

2019: Started all 11 games in which he appeared…helped pave the way for a Bulldog offense that averaged 268.2 rushing yards per game…part of an offense that rushed for over 300 yards in six games, including a season-high 378 yards against Mercer…team rushed for 320 yards in a victory over Georgia Tech.

2018: Started all 11 games at left tackle…part of an offensive line that averaged 283.6 rushing yards per game… team rushed for at least 275 yards in seven games, including 421 yards against Western Carolina…ran for 275 yards against Alabama, the most allowed by the Crimson Tide since 2015 Sugar Bowl…line also allowed the fewest sacks in the conference…was credited with a tackle against VMI and Charleston Southern.

2017: Appeared in all 11 games on a young offensive line that helped the Bulldogs finish second in the nation in rushing at 294.6 yards per game.

2016: Sat out the season as a red-shirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played offense and defense for Spring Valley…earned all-region accolades and named team’s offensive lineman MVP as senior after helping lead Spring Valley to AAAA Division I state playoffs…recorded 24 pancake blocks on offense and 13 tackles, including 4.0 for loss, on defense…registered 18 pancake blocks as junior…sophomore season recorded 31 tackles, including 5.0 sacks, seven forced fumbles and six pass breakups while helping Spring Valley to region title and quarterfinal round of state playoffs…also lettered in track, where he helped Spring Valley win region championships in 2014 and 2015 by finishing third in region in shot put as sophomore and second in region in discus as junior…named Engineering Design and Development Honors Student of the Quarter and Digital Electronics Student of the Quarter for his work in classroom.

PERSONAL: Son of Chris and Ellicia Thompson…majoring in sport administration.
