PRIOR TO JOINING TRACK & FIELD: Was a member of The Citadel's club rugby team as a freshman and sophomore.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters in swimming, three in football and two in baseball … Is a member of the relay teams that hold the school record for the 200-meter medley and 200-meter free relays … Earned conference championships in the 50-meter freestyle, 200-meter freestyle relay and 200-meter medley relay … Was a four-time state meet participant in swimming … As a senior, was named the captain and team MVP for the swimming team and was named the football team’s Special Teams MVP … Named the Offensive MVP for baseball as a junior … Was a four-year honor roll student.

PERSONAL: Full name is Garrett Bryan Richardson … Son of Stuart and Lisa Richardson … Brother, Wyatt, played baseball at Milligan College … Major is intelligence and security studies.
