Biography

CAREER: Has appeared in 40 games with 37 starts over the past three seasons … has a record of 14-11 with an ERA of 4.26, two complete games and one shutout … has struck out 156 batters and walked 77 in 222.0 innings … has a strikeout per nine innings mark of 6.32.

JUNIOR (2012): Appeared and started 15 times and tossed two complete games including a 3-0 shutout of UNC Greensboro (4/13) when he allowed only four hits, struck out nine and did not walk a batter … finished the year with a 6-5 record and an ERA of 3.19 to rank fourth in the Southern Conference … struck out 61 and walked 30 in 98.2 innings … his innings were tied for the sixth most in the conference and he picked off a team-leading five runners, tied for second in the league … five of his six wins came in conference games … went the distance and did not allow an earned run but took a 2-1 loss vs. Elon (5/16) … surrendered six hits and one unearned run in seven innings in a 4-1 win over Georgia Southern (4/27) … blanked Furman on five hits while fanning seven in seven innings in a 7-0 win (5/11) … also picked up victories over Columbia (3/1), giving up two hits and one run in six innings, Western Carolina (3/9) and Wofford (3/30).

SOPHOMORE (2011): Appeared and started 14 times and posted a record of 5-3 with an ERA of 4.61 … led the team in wins and struck out a team-high 77 and walked 27 in 84.0 innings, averaging 8.25 strikeouts per nine innings … named Southern Conference Pitcher of the Month in February after going 2-0 with an ERA of 1.29 … allowed one run on five hits and struck out eight in the season opener vs. Towson (2/19) and followed that up with a three-hitter over seven innings with one earned run in a win over Old Dominion (2/26) … struck out a career-high 13 batters while working eight shutout innings in a 4-0 win over Appalachian State (3/4) … did not allow an earned run over seven innings in a win over USC Upstate (4/23) and also posted a victory over Presbyterian (5/1).

FRESHMAN (2010): Appeared in 11 games with eight starts and finished with a record of 3-3 and an ERA of 6.18 … worked 39.1 innings and struck out 18 … earned his first victory vs. Winthrop (3/24) when he went six innings and allowed two runs on five hits … blanked Charleston Southern on three hits over six innings (3/31) and induced four double plays while combining with three other pitchers in the 5-0 win that gave Fred Jordan the record for most wins in school history … allowed five hits and three runs while fanning four in his Southern Conference debut vs. College of Charleston (5/9).

HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of James Island High School … recorded a 2.25 ERA his junior year … played for the South Carolina Diamond Devils and helped lead them to the Perfect Game national championship … coached by Tom Hatley, Stephen Williams and father Donnie Pritcher – all of whom are graduates of The Citadel.

PERSONAL: Son of Donnie and Johna Pritcher … father wrestled at The Citadel from 1982-86 … brother, Robert, was a catcher at the College of Charleston (2010-11) … majoring in health, exercise and sport science.
