JUNIOR (2016): Saw action in 36 games, starting 26 … made first appearance of the season as a pinch hitter on February 21 against Virginia Tech … Recorded first double of the year at Stetson on April 3 … went three-for-four with two runs scored and three RBI while hitting first and second career home runs at Wofford on April 17 … took over as the full-time third baseman on April 17 at Wofford … tallied a double and plated two runs at Charlotte on April 26 … collected at least one hit in every game of the Furman series including the third home run of his career … went three-for-four with one run scored against Samford on May 13 en route to tallying at least one hit in every game of the series … recorded first-career triple at No. 10 South Carolina on May 17, driving in one run … finished the season with a two-for-four effort against ETSU in the SoCon Tournament on May 26, smacking a double and scoring one run … concluded junior campaign with .245 batting average, 25 hits and 11 RBI … tied for second on the team with five home runs … held the highest slugging percentage on the team at .461 … tallied five multiple hit games and three multiple RBI games and tied for the second-best hitting streak on the team at six games.

SOPHOMORE (2015): Played in 16 games and made four starts in the outfield … tallied two hits, including a double, and one RBI.

FRESHMAN (2014): Played in 10 games and started twice at shortstop, including his debut against College of Charleston (3/10) and two days later against USC Upstate ... had his first career hit against the Spartans, capping a six-run sixth with an RBI double that drove in the tying run in an eventual Bulldog victory.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Chapin High School … lettered three times each in baseball and football … batted .410 his senior season and had a .947 fielding percentage … named to all-region team at shortstop and selected to play in the North-South all-star game … three-time all-region selection in football as a wide receiver and played in North-South game following his senior year ... inducted into the South Carolina High School Scholar-Athlete Hall of Fame.

PERSONAL: Barrett Jackson Charpia ... born April 6, 1994 ... son of David and Tracye Charpia … father was a quarterback at Furman from 1980-83, a member of the school’s hall of fame and played with the Seattle Seahawks in 1984-85 ... majoring in business administration.
